(February 3, 2022) LOS ANGELES, Calif. - iPOP Alumni Kyle Goleman is set to make his feature film debut in ‘Butter’. The film was recently picked up and stars McKaley Miller, Alex Kersting, and Mira Sorvino. Set to hit theatres this month, Kyle plays the role of Steve in the feature film.
A Blue Fox Entertainment production, ‘Butter’ tells the story of an obese teen that hatches a macabre scheme to shut bullies up in Paul A. Kaufman's high-school morality tale. The film is an adaptation of Erin Jade Lange’s YA novel of the same name.
The film's storyline is further described as the following:
“ “Butter" is a bright, funny high school junior who happens to be obese. He secretly befriends the prettiest girl from his school via social media by pretending to be a jock from another school. As Butter struggles with bullying and self-esteem at school, he plans an incredible social media stunt that will risk his life but gain him attention and popularity. As the day arrives, can he really do it? “
Since attending iPOP! LA as a performer, Kyle Goleman, is no stranger to being in front of or behind the camera. Kyle has appeared on many hit TV shows, including iCarly, Letters to Annabelle, and Catfish: The TV show. In addition, Kyle has also starred in numerous short film projects. Behind the camera, the iPOP Alumni runs a successful production company, working with such high-profile productions as the Oscars, Ted Lasso, and more.
